Real World Capture in VR
Capturing the real world and bringing it into VR has a number of challenges attached to it. We developed a prototype capture for the new Royal College of Art STEAM campus in Battersea, designed by Herzog & De Meuron. This was then followed by more refined captures for a project in Tower bridge, in which planners, architects, and clients could directly see the building in scale, from a variety of angles, and in real time. We present our real world captures as physical models in VR to great effect.
